That’s right 5500+ posts for Primary Teachers and 2100+ posts for Upper Primary Teachers (also known as Elementary Teachers). Let’s break down everything you need to know eligibility, age limit, exam pattern, fees, and important dates.

The vacancies have been announced by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSMSSB) for Grade III Teacher posts Level 1 (Class 1–5) and Level 2 (Class 6–8).

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility follows NCTE guidelines.

For Primary Teacher (Class 1–5)

• Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 45–50% marks
• D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) or B.El.Ed
• Must have REET Level 1 qualified (CTET not accepted)

For Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6–8)

• Graduation + D.El.Ed OR B.Ed / B.A.B.Ed / B.Sc.B.Ed (integrated course)
• Must have REET Level 2 qualified (again, CTET not valid)

Note: Without REET, you cannot apply.

Age Limit (as of 1 January 2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 40 years

Age relaxation applies as per government rules:

• Women (Rajasthan residents): +10 years
• Women (Other states): +5 years
• SC/ST/OBC Categories: As per norms
• Ex-servicemen: As per rules

You can apply from any state in India, but reservation benefits are only for Rajasthan residents.

Vacancy Details for Rajasthan Teacher Vacancy 2025

Primary Level (Class 1–5):

• Sanskrit Department: 187 posts
• General Teacher: 449 posts
• Total Primary: 5100+ posts

Upper Primary Level (Class 6–8):

• Sanskrit, Hindi, English, and other subjects: 2100+ posts

Note: Sanskrit teachers have to fill a separate form, while general teachers (Class 1–5) fill a combined form.

Who Can Apply

• B.Ed holders can apply for Class 6–8 posts.
• Graduates with D.El.Ed can also apply for Upper Primary level.
• Both men and women from any Indian state are eligible, but reservation is for Rajasthan residents only.

Female Candidates:

• 30% seats are reserved for women.
• Rajasthan women get 10 years age relaxation, while women from other states get 5 years.

Exam Dates

The written exam will be held between 17 January and 21 January 2026. It will be offline (OMR-based). If the exam happens in multiple shifts, normalization will apply.

Exam Pattern

• Total Marks: 300
• Total Questions: 150 (MCQ-based)
• Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes (150 minutes)
• Negative Marking: 0.33 per wrong answer

Note: Same pattern for both Primary and Upper Primary levels.

Syllabus Overview for Rajasthan Teacher Vacancy

The syllabus is quite detailed. Both papers carry 300 marks each.

• General Awareness of Rajasthan
• Language (Hindi & English – 10 marks each)
• Subject-related Questions (120 marks for subject teachers in Level 2)

Rajasthan GK holds the highest weightage, especially for the Primary level.

How to Apply for Rajasthan Teacher Vacancy 2025

1. Visit the official website.
2. First complete the One Time Registration (OTR) on the portal fill in your basic personal details, upload photo & signature, get your login credentials.
3. Once OTR is done, go back to the recruitment advertisement link for “Primary/Upper Primary School Teacher (Grade III)”. Click on “Apply Online”.
4. Fill in the detailed application form enter educational qualification, category, subject, contact details, etc.
5. Upload required documents (photo, signature, any category certificate if applicable).
6. Pay the application fee (₹600 for General/OBC, ₹400 for SC/ST/EWS) via online mode.
7. Submit the application form and print/save a copy for your reference.
8. Check and keep a record of your application number, username/password, and login credentials.
9. After submission, you may get an admit card/download link when exam approaches. Keep checking the official site.

• General / OBC (Creamy Layer): ₹600
• SC / ST / EWS / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): ₹400
