Education Qualification
Since there are two types of posts, qualifications vary slightly. Let’s look at them one by one.
For Assistant Director
Chemistry Division: M.Sc. or M.Tech in Forensic Science with specialization in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or Toxicology.
Physics Division: M.Sc. or M.Tech in Forensic Science, Physics, or Mathematics or B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Electronics, or Instrumentation with one year of specialization in related areas.
Photo/Instrument/Cyber Division: B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Instrumentation, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering with one-year specialization or M.Sc./M.Tech in Applied Physics.
Biology Division: M.Sc. or M.Tech in Forensic Science, with a background in Biology, Botany, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Genetics, or Molecular Biology.
Psychology Division: M.Sc., M.Tech, or M.A. in Psychology with specialization in Clinical Psychology.
For Senior Scientific Assistant
Chemistry Division: M.Sc. or M.Tech in Forensic Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or Toxicology.
Physics Division: M.Sc. or M.Tech in Forensic Science, Physics, Mathematics, or B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Electronics, or Instrumentation with one year of specialization.
Biology Division: M.Sc. or M.Tech in Forensic Science, Biology, Botany, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Genetics, or Molecular Biology.

- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age (for retired officers): 65 years

Salary Details for Bihar Police

Selection Process for Bihar Police Recruitment 2025
The selection will be carried out by a Specially Constituted Board under Bihar Police. There will be no written exam or interview. Selection will be done in the following stages:
- Merit-Based Shortlisting: Based on your Post-Graduation marks, candidates will be shortlisted. So make sure you enter your academic details correctly in the form.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification. Bring all your original certificates to prove your eligibility.
