Smart Tips to Crack EMRS Staff Selection Exam 2025

1) Understand the Exam Pattern First
  • Round 1 (Prelims): Simply qualifying. Don’t ignore it, but don’t overreact either.
  • Round 2 (Main Subject Test): This is the most important test; your selection is dependent on it.
  • Round 3 (Interview/Skill Test): Only for specific positions such as Principal and JSA.
2) Create a Study Plan (and plz stick to it).
  • Divide your time between General Studies + Reasoning + ICT + Language Skills (for Prelims) and Subject Knowledge (for Mains).
  • Give 60–70% time daily to your subject and 30–40% to common sections.
3) Practice Previous Year Papers and Mock Tests.
  • Even if EMRS papers are new, try CTET, KVS, NVS, or DSSSB papers for practice.
  • Time management is just as important as knowing the answers.
  • You must revise your mistakes after each mock.
4) Improve Basics in Teaching Subjects

For TGT/PGT/Principal:

  • Revise NCERT Books (Class 6-12) for your subject.
  • Focus on problem-solving in math and science.
  • For Social Science/Language, focus on concepts and factual clarity.
5) Focus on CTET-Style Preparation for TGTs.
  • Since CTET Paper-II is required for TGTs, revise topics like:
    • Child Development and Pedagogy
    • Teaching methodology
    • Inclusive education
6) Do not ignore ICT and Reasoning.

Many candidates lose marks here because they focus only on their subjects.

  • Basic ICT skills include MS Office, the Internet, and digital teaching tools.
  • Reasoning: Practice daily (puzzles, coding-decoding, analogy, and series).
7) Revision Strategy
  • The last two weeks have been spent just of revision and mock tests.
  • Keep a short notebook filled with formulas, teaching theories, and facts.
  • Revise daily before going to bed.
8) Interview/Skill Test Preparation
  • For Principal: Improve communication skills, leadership, and educational policies.
  • Typing practice is a must for JSA (30 WPM in Hindi and 35 WPM in English).
9) Stay Healthy During Preparation
  • Take short breaks, eat light meals, and stay hydrated.
  • Avoid late-night cramming right before the exam.
10) On Exam Day
  • Arrive at the center early.
  • Do not be nervous if the paper seems to be difficult, it is difficult for everyone.
  • Start with easy questions and move to moderate/difficult ones.

GSRTC Conductor Bharti 2025 – Special Drive for Disabled Candidates

GSRTC Conductor Bharti 2025 - Special Drive for Disabled Candidates

GSRTC Conductor Bharti 2025

Hey friends! If you’ve been keeping an eye out for secure and respectable government jobs in Gujarat, then here’s some exciting news you just can’t miss. The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) yes, the same department that runs those red buses we’ve all traveled in at some point has come up with a brand-new recruitment drive. But here’s the special part: this recruitment isn’t for everyone. It has been thoughtfully designed as a special drive exclusively for Divyang (disabled) candidates.

GSRTC Conductor Bharti 2025 - Special Drive for Disabled Candidates

What’s the Job?

  • Post Name: Conductor
  • Total Vacancies: 571 (only for disabled candidates)
  • Job Location: Across Gujarat
  • Salary: ₹26,000/- fixed Per Month (for the first 5 years)

Key Dates for GSRTC Conductor Bharti 2025

  • Online Application Starts: 16th September 2025
  • Last Date to Apply: 1st October 2025 (till 11:59 PM)
  • Last Date to Pay Fees: 3rd October 2025 (till 11:59 PM)

Eligibility Criteria for GSRTC Conductor Bharti 2025

To apply for the GSRTC Conductor vacancy through this special drive, candidates must meet a few requirements. First of all, you must have completed 12th grade (10+2) from a recognized board, as this is the minimum educational requirement. Also having a valid Conductor License is required, as the job involves managing passengers and ticketing duties. Candidates must also have a First Aid Certificate, showing their ability to provide basic medical care in the event of a medical problem while traveling. In addition, passing the BASE (Basic Skills Exam) is required as a prerequisite. Only candidates who meet all of these requirements will be eligible to apply for the vacancies available under this recruitment drive.

When it comes to the age requirements for this GSRTC Conductor recruitment, candidates need to be at least 18 years old to apply. The upper age limit is set at 33 years, which means applicants should not be older than this at the time of application. However, the government does provide relaxation in the maximum age for reserved categories, giving them an additional 5 years of flexibility. So, for eligible candidates belonging to reserved categories, the upper limit can go up to 45 years. This relaxation ensures that more Divyang candidates get a fair chance to participate in this recruitment drive without being left out due to age restrictions.

Who Can Apply? (Reservation Categories)

Now, the most important question is who can apply for this GSRTC Conductor recruitment drive? Because this is a special recruitment for Divyang (disabled) candidates, only those who fall within specific disability categories will be considered. The total of 571 vacancies has been carefully distributed among different types of disabilities to ensure that the opportunity is fair and inclusive.

Here’s how the reservations are distributed:

  • Locomotor Disability / Orthopedic Impairment (LC, AAV – including OA, OL, BA, BL, OAL, BLOA, BLA): This includes candidates with physical movement restrictions such as one arm affected, one leg affected, both arms or both legs affected, or similar conditions. These candidates are physically fit enough to perform conductor duties with minor adjustments. Again, 143 seats are reserved in this category.
  • Low Vision (LV – 40% to 70%): Candidates who have partial vision loss but can still perform duties with the help of glasses or corrective measures. For this category, 143 seats have been reserved.
  • Hearing Handicap (HH – 40% to 70%): This is for candidates who face hearing difficulties, whether partial or significant, but are still capable of handling communication with passengers. A total of 143 posts are available here.
  • Mental Illness (MI – 40% to 70%): This category is for candidates with certified mental health conditions within the given disability percentage. They are equally encouraged to apply and contribute to the workforce. For this, 142 posts are reserved.

In short, GSRTC has made sure that all four categories of Divyang candidates get fair representation and a chance to secure a government job. If you fall into any of the above categories and meet the other eligibility conditions, you are eligible to apply.

GSRTC Conductor Vacancy Breakdown

The GSRTC Conductor recruitment drive has a total of 571 vacancies, and the best part is that every single one of these seats is reserved exclusively for Divyang (disabled) candidates. To make things fair and inclusive, the corporation has divided the posts into different categories of disability. Out of the total, 143 seats have been kept aside for candidates with Low Vision (LV), while another 143 seats are meant for those with a Hearing Handicap (HH). Similarly, candidates falling under Locomotor Disability or Orthopedic Impairment (LC/AAV) which includes conditions like one arm, one leg, or both legs being affected will also find 143 seats reserved for them. Finally, candidates certified with Mental Illness (MI – 40% to 70%) are allotted 142 seats in this drive. This balanced distribution ensures that each major category of disability gets equal representation, opening doors for many deserving candidates to secure a stable government job.

While this period is considered contractual, the pay is quite decent compared to many entry-level jobs. After successfully completing these five years and showing satisfactory performance, conductors will be absorbed into the regular pay scale of GSRTC employees, which comes with all the perks and allowances applicable to government staff. This means you can look forward to benefits such as annual increments, dearness allowance (DA), pension schemes, medical facilities, and job security in the long run. For Divyang candidates, this isn’t just a job it’s a pathway to financial independence, stability, and a respected career with the state government.
