Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

You must have passed 10+2 (Class 12) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) subjects from a recognized education board. You need at least 60% aggregate marks in these three subjects (Physics + Chemistry + Math).

Example: If each subject is of 100 marks, your combined score in PCM should be 180 out of 300 or more (i.e., 60%). Marks in other subjects don’t matter only PCM marks are counted. If you have less than 60% in PCM, you are not eligible.

JEE (Main) 2025 Requirement

You must have appeared in the JEE Main 2025 exam. Your shortlisting will be based on your JEE Main 2025 scores that’s how the merit list is prepared. So if you meet both conditions 12th with PCM (60%) and JEE Main 2025 appeared, you can apply.

Age Limit

Your age should be between 16½ years and 19½ years as of 1 July 2026.

• That means your date of birth should be:
• Not before 2 January 2007
• Not after 1 January 2010 (Both dates inclusive)

So if you were born between 2 Jan 2007 and 1 Jan 2010, you are eligible!

Selection Process | Indian Army TES 55th 2025

Now let’s understand how selection happens

Step 1 Shortlisting of Applications: Based on JEE Main 2025 Rank/Score, applications will be shortlisted by the Integrated HQ of Ministry of Defence (Army).

Step 2 SSB Interview: No written exam! Shortlisted candidates will directly go for the 5-day SSB Interview.

SSB Centres: Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, and Jalandhar.

The interview has two stages:

• Stage 1: Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) Test + Picture Perception & Description Test (PP&DT)
• Stage 2: Psychological Test, Group Testing Officer (GTO) Tasks, and Personal Interview

Candidates who qualify Stage 2 will move to the next round.

Step 3 Medical Examination: Candidates recommended after SSB will undergo a medical test at the nearest military hospital. Those who are found medically fit will be finally selected.
