Hey friends! This is AP, Big news today for the first time ever, Kendriya Vidyalaya (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya (NVS) have come together for a combined teacher recruitment exam. Let’s break down everything vacancies, eligibility, age, syllabus, pattern, and important dates.

Overview – The Biggest Central Teacher Recruitment 2025

For the first time, both KVS and NVS will conduct one common exam for teaching and non-teaching posts.

  • Total Vacancies: Around 14,900 (nearly 15,000)
  • Teaching Posts: Approx 13,000
  • Non-Teaching Posts: Around 1,900–2,000

So yes, this is one of the biggest teacher recruitments of the year!

Eligibility Criteria for KVS NVS Vacancies

For PRT (Primary Teacher)

  • 12th Pass
  • D.El.Ed / JBT / BTC / BSTC or equivalent
  • CTET Paper 1 qualified
  • Age: 18–30 years (up to 40 years for females)

For TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher)

  • Graduation in the relevant subject (50% marks)
  • B.Ed (Special Education B.Ed also accepted with bridge course)
  • CTET Paper 2 qualified before 4 December 2025
  • Age: 18–35 years (up to 45 years for females)

For PGT (Post Graduate Teacher)

  • Post Graduation in the relevant subject (50% marks)
  • B.Ed mandatory
  • CTET not required
  • Age: 18–40 years (up to 50 years for females)

Application Fee for KVS NVS Recruitment 2025

And here’s what’s shocking everyone

  • ₹1500 exam fee + ₹500 processing charge = ₹2000 total fee. Even Assistant Commissioner and Principal posts have higher fees. This new “processing fee” trend started recently.
  • SC/ST and PwBD candidates: No Fee
  • Everyone else: Full ₹2000

Selection Process 3-Tier Exam System

This year’s process is completely revamped more like UPSC-style than a typical teaching exam.

Tier 1 – Screening Test (Qualifying)

  • Mode: Offline (OMR based)
  • Questions: 100
  • Total Marks: 300 (3 marks each question)
  • Negative Marking: 1/3 per wrong answer
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Purpose: Just qualifying – marks not added in merit.

The exam is bilingual (Hindi & English). MTS posts have a slightly different pattern, but others follow this same format. From here, only 10x the number of vacancies move to Tier 2.

Tier 2 – Main Exam (Subject Paper)

If you clear Tier 1, you’ll appear for Tier 2, which is a 100-mark paper (Objective + Descriptive).

  • PRT – Up to 12th (Senior Secondary) level

Final Merit List

Merit will be based on:

  • Tier 2 (Mains): 85% weightage
  • Interview: 15% weightage
  • Tier 1: Qualifying only

After results, candidates will choose their preference whether they want to join KVS or NVS. Your posting will depend on your marks and preferences.

Where to Apply

Apply through:

Only one form is needed if you’re applying for the same post in both KVS & NVS (e.g., TGT Science).
But if you’re applying for multiple posts (PRT + TGT + PGT), fill separate forms.
