RRB JE 2025 Exam Pattern
If you’re aiming for RRB JE 2025, the first thing you need to understand is the exam pattern, because knowing this will help you plan your preparation smartly. The exam is conducted in multiple stages, starting with CBT-1, followed by CBT-2, then Document Verification, and finally the Medical Examination.
Round 1: CBT-1 (Preliminary Exam)
The CBT-1 is the preliminary stage and is mostly non-technical. It includes questions on General Science, Mathematics, General Awareness, and Reasoning, among others. The purpose of this stage is mainly qualifying which means you need to score enough to move on, but the marks here don’t directly decide your final selection.
Round 2: CBT-2 (Main Exam)
Once you clear CBT-1, you move on to CBT-2, which is the main stage and has a mix of technical and non-technical questions. This is where your technical knowledge in your branch Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics really matters. The scores you get here will determine your merit and chances for document verification. Out of 150 marks, aiming for at least 125+ is a safe target to stay in the qualifying zone.
Round 3: Document Verification (DV) & Medical Examination
After clearing CBT-2, you will go through Document Verification (DV), where your educational certificates, age proof, and other documents are checked. Finally, there’s the Medical Examination, which ensures that you meet the physical and medical standards required for the job.
