The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the SSC CPO 2025 Notification for the recruitment of Sub-Inspectors (SI) in the Delhi Police and CAPFs. If you plan to apply for the SSC CPO 2025 Sub-Inspector (SI) Recruitment, you have to first verify that you meet the eligibility requirements. Eligibility mainly depends by nationality, age, educational qualification, and some additional requirements for particular posts.

Nationality: You must be an Indian citizen. Candidates who are Nepalese or Bhutanese citizens, however, may apply if they have a valid certificate of eligibility issued by the Indian government.

Educational Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university, or an equivalent qualification. Even if you are in your final year of graduation, you can apply, just make sure you have your degree ready by the application deadline. Degrees completed via distance learning are also valid if approved by the UGC-Distance Education Bureau.

Age Limit: Applicants should be between the ages of 20 and 25 as of August 1, 2025. This means your birth date should be between August 2, 2000 and August 1, 2005. But don’t worry; there are limitations for reserved categories. For example, SC/ST candidates receive a 5-year relaxation, OBC candidates receive a 3-year relaxation, and ex-servicemen receive age reductions based on their service. Widows, divorced women, and departmental candidates in the Delhi Police are also eligible for age relaxations.

SSC CPO Sub Inspector 2025 Salary

The SSC CPO 2025 Sub-Inspector (SI) position offers a very attractive salary package under the 7th Pay Commission. The pay scale for both SI (GD) in CAPFs and SI (Executive) in Delhi Police is ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400/- (Level-6), providing consistent career growth and stability. The SI post in CAPFs is classified as Group ‘B’ (non-gazetted, non-ministerial), but the SI post in Delhi Police is classified as Group ‘C’. Including allowances such as DA, HRA, and TA, the monthly salary ranges from ₹45,000 to ₹55,000, depending on location and deductions. This makes the SSC CPO SI position not only financially rewarding, but also highly respected and secure.

SSC CPO Sub Inspector 2025 Selection Process

The SSC CPO 2025 selection process is broken down into stages, each with equal importance. To become a Sub-Inspector in the Delhi Police or CAPFs, you must complete all of the rounds in order.

Stage 1: Paper-I (Computer Based Test)

The first stage is Paper-I, which is an online computer-based exam. It has four sections General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. Each section has 50 questions for 50 marks, making a total of 200 marks. The total exam time is 2 hours, with a sectional timer of 30 minutes for each part. There is also negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer, so candidates should attempt questions carefully.

Stage 2: Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Endurance Test (PET)

After Paper-I, candidates who qualify will be called for the PST and PET. Here, your height, chest measurement (for males), and weight will be checked under PST. In PET, you will have to perform running, long jump, high jump, and other physical activities. This stage ensures that candidates are physically fit for the job.

Stage 3: Paper-II (Computer Based Test)

The next stage is Paper-II, which focuses only on English Language & Comprehension. This paper has 200 questions for 200 marks, with a time limit of 2 hours. Just like Paper-I, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for wrong answers. This paper checks your understanding of grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.

Stage 4: Medical Examination

Candidates who pass Paper-II will go through a Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Here, doctors will check eyesight, hearing ability, and overall medical fitness. Only medically fit candidates will be allowed for the final merit list.

Final Merit List

The final merit is prepared based on the marks obtained in Paper-I and Paper-II, along with the bonus marks. All scores are normalized if exams are held in multiple shifts. Candidates who clear all stages and secure a place in the merit list will be appointed as Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police or CAPFs.

Paper 1

1. Reasoning: Puzzles, coding-decoding, series, analogies, syllogism, Venn diagrams, visual & logical reasoning.
2. General Knowledge: Current affairs, history, geography, polity, economy, science, Indian Constitution, neighboring countries.
3. Quantitative Aptitude: Numbers, percentages, ratio, average, profit-loss, SI & CI, time & work, speed-distance, algebra, geometry, mensuration, trigonometry, data interpretation.
4. English: Comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, synonyms & antonyms.

Paper 2

English Language & Comprehension: Error spotting, fill in the blanks, grammar, vocabulary, idioms & phrases, sentence completion, comprehension passages.

How to Apply for SSC CPO 2025

1. go to the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in.
2. Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new portal.
3. Log in with your registration ID and password.
4. Navigate to the SSC CPO 2025 Application Form link.
5. Fill out your personal, educational, and contact information.
6. Capture and upload your real-time photograph as directed.
7. Upload your signature in JPEG format (10-20 KB).
8. Examine all of the details in the Preview section.
9. Pay your application fee online.
10. Submit the application form and print it for future use.

Application Fee for SSC CPO Sub Inspector 2025

• General / OBC / EWS: ₹100/-
• Exempted Candidates: Women, SC, ST, and Ex-Servicemen don’t need to pay the fee.
• Payment Mode: You can pay online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Debit/Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, RuPay).
• The last date to pay the fee is 17th October 2025 (11:00 PM).

Important: The fee is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted against any other SSC exam.
