• You need to have passed your 12th grade with at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Math (PCM).
• Passed 10th class and have a 2-year ITI certificate in one of these trades:

BSF Head Constable Selection Process 2025

The selection process for BSF Head Constable consists of three phases. Only candidates who complete each phase can proceed to the next.

Round 1: Physical Test (PST & PET)

• PST (Physical Standard Test): Your height and chest will be measured as per BSF rules.
• PET (Physical Efficiency Test): You have to run, do long jump, and high jump to check your fitness and stamina.

Round 2: Computer Based Test (CBT)

• Candidates who pass the physical test will appear for a written exam on computer.
• Type: Objective (MCQs)
• Total Questions: 100
• Total Marks: 200
• Duration: 2 Hours
• Subjects: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, English & GK
• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be cut for each wrong answer

The merit list (final selection list) is mainly based on the marks of this exam.

Round 3: Documents, Skill Test & Medical Test

• Document Verification: All original certificates will be checked.
• Skill Test (only for HC Radio Operator):
  • Dictation Test: 50 marks
  • Paragraph Reading Test: only qualifying, to check English writing and pronunciation.
• Medical Test: Full health check-up will be done to make sure you are fit as per BSF standards.
