Educational Qualification for SBI Clerk 2025

To apply for the SBI Clerk (Junior Associate) post in 2025, you need to meet the following educational requirements:

• Students in their last year or semester of graduation may apply provisionally. However, if you are chosen, you must produce proof of graduation by December 31, 2025 no exceptions.
• Matriculate ex-servicemen who have completed at least 15 years of service in the Armed Forces and hold the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education (or an equivalent certificate from the Navy or Air Force) are also eligible to apply.
• Graduation: You must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university, or have an equivalent qualification approved by the Central Government.
• Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) holders: If you’ve completed an IDD program, make sure your final passing date is on or before December 31, 2025.

Age Limit for SBI Clerk 2025

To be eligible for the SBI Clerk Recruitment 2025, candidates must fall within the following age range:

• Minimum Age: 20 years
• Maximum Age: 28 years

This means you should be born between April 2, 1997, and April 1, 2005 including both these dates.

Age Relaxation Guidelines for SBI Clerk 2025

SBI relaxes the upper age restriction for candidates from restricted categories and special groups. This is how it works.

• SC/ST candidates get a relaxation of 5 years on the upper age limit.
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates are given 3 years of relaxation.
• For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD):
  • General/EWS category gets up to 10 years
  • OBC candidates get 13 years
  • SC/ST candidates are eligible for up to 15 years
• Ex-Servicemen and Disabled Ex-Servicemen are eligible for age benefits according to the period of their military service plus three years.
  • However, SC/ST ex-servicemen who are also disabled may be granted a relaxation of up to 8 years, with a maximum age restriction of 50 years.
• Widows, divorced women, and women legally separated from their husbands who haven’t remarried are also eligible for relaxation:

  • But their age should not exceed 35 years if they belong to the General/EWS category, 38 years for OBC, and 40 years for SC/ST.

Selection Process | SBI Clerk 2025 Notification Out

Three steps make up the SBI Clerk selection process:

Step 1: Preliminary Examination

This is a one-hour online objective test with a score of 100. Since it is a qualifying test, the scores won’t be taken into account when making the final decision.

There will be negative marking of 1/4th of the mark assigned for each wrong answer.

Step 2: Main Examination

A shortlist of candidates for the Main Exam will be created from those who pass the preliminary exam. The final merit list will take into account the scores earned in the Main Exam.

Phase 3: Test of Specified Opted Local Language

Candidates who qualify for selection and present a 10th or 12th grade mark sheet/certificate proving they have studied the required selected local language will not be subjected to a language test. Others will take a language exam after the Main Examination but before enrolling.
